“The NGO empowering Poor through Education”

A HAND is a well known NGO working in the field of education, health and also general welfare of the people since 2003.This is a registered society (Reg. No.: S /IL / 30007) under The West Bengal Societies Reg. Act XXVI of 1961 and patronized by eminent members from various walks of life in India, it pioneers to amend the core issue behind the backwardness and sufferings of a section of the society specially Muslims in West Bengal, specifically in the field of education and health.

Free Primary Evening School

A HAND runs a quality standard Free Primary School since 2010 at 1, Shamsul Huda Road, Kolkata - 700017, West Bengal, India. School uniform, bags, stationery, books, shoes, socks etc. are provided to 200 students. As per the demand we plan to add 200 more needy students for this programme.

Free Coaching Centre

A HAND has been running a Free Coaching Centre for classes VIII, IX and X (Both boys and girls) since 2011. Hundreds of our students are now pursuing higher education in good colleges. Under this program A HAND also holds Career Counseling program annually.

Free Charitable Dispensary

Universal Healthcare is the fundamental necessity for any society to progress. Thus A HAND is running a Free Charitable Dispensary in HAROA (North 24 Praganas), providing free doctor and medicine to poor people of the area. A HAND aims to establish a another FREE Charitable Dispensary at Basirhat Subdivision soon.

Career Guidance and Counseling

A HAND organizes free career guidance and counseling sessions for students regularly to guide them to choose the right career ladder. Thousands of students are benefitted under this programme every year in different parts of West Bengal.

“Helping you, when you need it the most”

Free Legal Consultation is a benevolent legal awareness Programme of AHAND with the primary purpose of helping the poor people who need legal help and advice.

The committee of this Programme is composed of retired judges, practicing advocates, jurists, senior students of law colleges and people related to various walks of life to provide guidance to the poor on any legal matter as the organization
